Kegels and Cocktails

30th April 2015 at BITE 1023 9th Ave SE Calgary

Your Host: Renee Simons

Renee’s interest in kinetics and functional muscle movement began with Kinesiology studies at Simon Fraser University (SFU). In 2004, she graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy and is a member of the College of Massage Therapists of BC and the Massage Therapists Association of Alberta. Since becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, Renee has focused her post-graduate training and clinical practice around Myofascial Release and Visceral Manipulation techniques and is committed to providing patients with individualized treatments to discover and resolve the underlying reasons why they may have pain and dysfunction in their bodies. Since having two children, Renee has developed a passion for eating real food, fermentation and doing things the way great granny would have done them, leading her to expand her knowledge around holistic nutrition.

Through Myofascial Release and Visceral Manipulation, Renee’s goal is to collaborate with her patients and other health practitioners to balance soft tissues, improve body mechanics and movement through strength, flexibility, and postural awareness with the goal of restoring functional pain-free living. These techniques are effective for those suffering from a wide range of chronic pain, including: back and joint pain, digestive and reproductive complaints and the discomfort and tension caused by traumatic & surgical scarring.

Through a combination of assessment, manual therapy and education, Renee will work closely with you to facilitate the body’s natural ability to heal and help you reach your body’s optimal potential.
